Sopore Police to Auction Five Seized Vehicles in Narcotics Crackdown

SOPORE, JAMMU & KASHMIR — In a major blow to the logistical networks of drug traffickers, the Sopore Police have secured official court orders to dispose of and auction five vehicles seized in connection with various narcotics cases. The legal clearance, granted under Section 52A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, comes as part of the region’s aggressive and ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan” anti-drug campaign.

According to authorities, the confiscated conveyances were actively utilized by smugglers for transporting illegal narcotics and psychotropic substances across the Police District of Sopore. Following strict adherence to due legal protocols, the honorable court authorized the public auction of these vehicles in compliance with existing statutory provisions. This decisive move underscores an intensified law enforcement strategy aimed at completely dismantling the drug trade’s financial and logistical infrastructure, rather than just arresting street-level peddlers. Reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free society, the Jammu & Kashmir Police emphasized that they will continue to aggressively target, seize, and liquidate any assets or transport used to facilitate narcotics trafficking.
