Javed Ahmed Rana distributes engagement orders to newly selected Anganwadi workers in Mendhar

MENDHAR, May 18, 2026:- Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs Javed Ahmed Rana handed over engagement orders to newly selected Anganwadi workers and helpers from Mendhar and Balakote under the Integrated Child Development Services scheme.

The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening grassroots welfare and public health services in rural and border areas, marking an important step toward enhancing early childhood care, nutrition, maternal healthcare, and community welfare services across the region.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted the invaluable contribution of Anganwadi personnel in promoting child welfare, women empowerment, and health awareness at the village level.

The minister emphasized that the administration led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah remains firmly committed to fulfilling its promises in the health, education, and social welfare sectors through concrete measures aimed at empowering local institutions.

He noted that Anganwadi centers play a vital role in improving the nutritional and health status of children, lowering mortality rates, and creating essential awareness among mothers regarding immunization and balanced diets.

Reaffirming state support, he assured continued assistance for infrastructural upgrades and better working conditions. In his closing remarks, he congratulated the new inductees, urging them to serve their communities with dedication and compassion to help build a healthier society.
