Anti Narcotics Task Force Jammu arrests interstate drug smuggler from Patiala Punjab

JAMMU, May 17 — The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Jammu and Kashmir achieved a major breakthrough in its ongoing anti-drug campaign by arresting a hardcore interstate narcotics supplier from Patiala, Punjab.

Following a series of coordinated raids across different areas of Punjab, an operations team apprehended Rajwinder Singh from near the Ghuman Nagar Market in Patiala. The accused was wanted by the law enforcement agency in connection with an active narcotics case registered under FIR Number 01/2026 at the Police Station ANTF Jammu.

The targeted operation was executed by a specialized team comprising Inspector Amandeep Singh and Constable Gajinder Singh, under the close supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravinder Rakwal and Senior Superintendent of Police Anwar Ul Haq.

Investigation details revealed that the arrested individual is a close associate of Gurmeet Singh, who was previously apprehended with a commercial quantity of charas.

The accused reportedly specialized in purchasing second-hand cars to smuggle and transport narcotics from the Kashmir Valley all the way to Mumbai to generate massive illegal profits.

This high-profile arrest marks a significant success in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan.
