Indian Army Tiger Division organizes youth marathon in border villages of Jammu

JAMMU, May 17, 2026 :- The Tiger Division of the Indian Army, in coordination with regional military veterans, organized a marathon in the border villages of Makwal, Jammu, to inspire the local youth toward fitness, discipline, and resilience.

The athletic event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 271 students who competed across three distinct running distances, including 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km categories.

The initiative successfully engaged the border community, providing young participants with an opportunity to showcase their endurance and sporting spirit.

The collaborative effort between the serving troops and veterans highlighted the Indian Army’s continued commitment to community development and youth empowerment in frontier areas.

By promoting sports and healthy lifestyles, the event aimed to channel the energy of the border youth into constructive personal growth and national pride.
