Manoj Sinha hails PM Modi’s infrastructure push as Vande Bharat links Amritsar to Katra, increases Pilgrimage & economy

Srinagar 10th August:- Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the new Vande Bharat Express between Amritsar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra , highlighting a revolutionary step in the transport infrastructure of the region. The Prime Minister on Sunday dedicated three new Vande Bharat trains — between Bengaluru to Belagavi and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune, along with the launch of the yellow line of Bengaluru Metro.

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), LG Sinha brought to the fore how Jammu & Kashmir’s rail network has experienced “unprecedented growth” under PM Modi. The new Amritsar-Katra Vande Bharat  will greatly facilitate Vaishno Devi pilgrims’ travel while increasing local economic activity through increased connectivity. Sinha pointed out that this comes on the heels of another milestone—Kashmir Valley’s first freight train from Punjab reaching Anantnag yesterday, constituting a big jump in trade and logistics for the region.

The high-tech, Vande Bharat train guarantees shorter travel time, advanced amenities, and a more comfortable ride for pilgrims traveling to the sacred Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. With better rail connectivity, J&K will be able to experience more tourism inflows, business opportunities, and regional integration.

As the new Vande Bharat Expresstakes to the tracks, pilgrims, businessmen, and residents look forward to a new era of prosperity and convenience, further advancing J&K’s economic and religious connectivity with the country.
