Reasi Police Lead Anti Drug Campaigns Under Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan

REASI, May 09, 2026: District Police Reasi organized a series of awareness initiatives across various locations to strengthen the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan. Under the supervision of SSP Mukund Tibrewal, these programs aimed to educate the public on the severe consequences of substance abuse.

The efforts included rallies, street plays, and community meetings designed to foster a drug-free environment throughout the district.Police Station Pouni partnered with Nature Lap International School to host a drug awareness rally and a Nukkad Natak.

The procession moved from the school grounds to Pouni Chowk, engaging citizens with impactful messages against drug consumption. In a similar effort, Police Station Reasi collaborated with Trikuta Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School to perform a street play at the Reasi Bus Stand, where students illustrated the psychological, financial, and health-related damages caused by addiction.

Further outreach occurred at the village level, with Police Post Malikote and Police Post Tote Sarhi holding programs in Sarsote and Harotekote.

These sessions focused on sensitizing local residents about the societal impact of drugs and the collective responsibility required to maintain a healthy community. These grassroots activities are part of a broader strategy to ensure the message of prevention reaches every corner of the district.

In addition to public outreach, the police department focused on internal capacity building. SDPO Reasi met with investigating officers to discuss standard operating procedures for cases involving the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. A specialized training program was also held at the District Police Lines to enhance technical investigation skills.

These measures reflect the commitment of the Reasi Police to combine community awareness with strict enforcement against illegal drug activities.
