Assam Rifles Commemorates First Anniversary of Operation Sindoor with Educational Event in Changlang

JAIRAMPUR, April 26, 2026The Jairampur Battalion of the Assam Rifles marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor on April 25, 2026, by organizing a series of commemorative events at School Tikhak Taipi in Longvi, located within the Changlang district.

The program was designed to honor the legacy of the operation through a documentary screening and a direct interaction with the local student population. By showcasing the dedication and sacrifices made by the Armed Forces during the operation, the event provided the younger generation with a vivid look into the challenges and triumphs of military service in the region.

Following the documentary, an engaging interactive session allowed students to speak with personnel and gain a deeper understanding of the vital role the military plays in maintaining national security and regional stability.

This initiative was specifically aimed at inspiring local youth, fostering a sense of patriotism, and demystifying the life of a soldier. The discussions encouraged students to consider their own contributions to the nation and provided a platform for them to ask questions about the strategic importance of their home province.

The commemorative program successfully strengthened the existing bond between the Armed Forces and the local community in Changlang. By integrating educational outreach with military history, the Assam Rifles continues to build trust and mutual respect with the citizens they protect.

Such events underscore the force’s commitment to community development and its role as a guiding presence for the youth in the border areas of Northeast India.
