SSP Anantnag Reviews Pahalgam Yatra Route and Tourist Safety Measures
Anantnag; 21 April 2026:- Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, conducted an official visit to Pahalgam today to evaluate security arrangements along the Yatra route and inspect safety protocols for the upcoming tourist season.
During his assessment, the SSP toured critical transit points and engaged with on-site officers to ensure that infrastructure and personnel are prepared for the influx of visitors.
He stressed the need for seamless coordination between departments to facilitate smooth movement, emphasizing that security measures must be robust yet maintain a people-friendly atmosphere.
The SSP reaffirmed that the safety and convenience of both pilgrims and tourists are the primary objectives for the Anantnag Police.
To achieve this, he directed officials to enhance vigilance and maintain proactive communication with the civil administration and local stakeholders.
