MANA, April 16, 2026:- General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, officially laid the foundation stone for the Shaurya Cultural and Traditional Centre today in Mana, recognized as the first village of India.
This landmark project is designed to safeguard and celebrate the rich heritage of the Garhwal region, specifically highlighting its distinguished martial history and deep-rooted spiritual traditions.
Developed in close coordination with the Uttarakhand Government, the initiative represents a strategic effort to document and preserve local customs for future generations while honoring the bravery of the region’s soldiers.
The Shaurya Cultural and Traditional Centre is envisioned as a unique destination that blends heritage revival with the spirit of national integration.
