CRPF 187 Battalion Launches Mega Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, April 13, 2026— In a proactive move to combat the growing menace of substance abuse among youth, the 187 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a comprehensive anti-drug campaign at the Government Higher Secondary School in Battal Ballian, Udhampur.
The initiative, held under the expert guidance of Md. Sazid, Commandant of the 187 Bn, saw a massive turnout including the school principal, faculty members, and the entire student body.
Key officials in attendance included Ranjit Kumar (2-I-C), Dr. Manmeet Kaur Brar (SMO/DC), and Rakesh Kumar (AC), all of whom joined the CRPF jawans in actively leading the day’s events.
The awareness program featured a vibrant mix of advocacy and creativity, headlined by an energetic public rally and a themed painting competition.These activities were designed to engage students directly, allowing them to express the importance of a healthy lifestyle through art.
At the conclusion of the event, Md. Sazid honored the top three performers of the competition with awards, using the platform to deliver a powerful keynote address. He urged the students to remain vigilant against the lure of narcotics and emphasized the role of the youth in building a drug-free society.
