Human Touch: Poonch Police Reunite Two Missing Women with Families, Restoring Hope

POONCH, April 05, 2026 — In a heartening display of dedication and proactive policing, the District Police Poonch has successfully traced and safely reunited two missing women with their families, bringing an end to the distress of two separate households.

Operating under the jurisdiction of the Ajote Police Post, the rescue operations were part of a sustained drive to prioritize the safety of vulnerable citizens. The first woman, identified as Anjum Khatun, a resident of Degwar Mardyala, was located after police teams deployed a combination of technical surveillance and local intelligence to track her movements.In a parallel success, the police also traced Misra B, a resident of Ajote, who had been reported missing by her family.

Through persistent fieldwork and rapid response, the tracking team managed to locate her and ensure her safe return. After completing the mandatory legal formalities and verification processes, both women were handed over to their respective families, who expressed immense gratitude for the department’s “human touch” and swift action.
