JAMMU, FEBRUARY 14: In a move to enforce administrative discipline and ensure a people-centric government, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today conducted a series of surprise inspections across government offices in Satwari, Akhnoor, and Sunderbani. During his visit to the SDM Office in Akhnoor, the Deputy CM took a comprehensive stock of general operations, placing a heavy emphasis on the need for increased transparency and the rapid redressal of public grievances.

He further extended his inspection to the PWD (R&B) Division and Sub-Division offices in Akhnoor, where he evaluated performance standards and issued strict directives to department heads to maintain integrity in project execution and adhere to rigorous completion timelines.

The Deputy Chief Minister’s tour continued to Sunderbani and Lamberi, where he shifted focus to critical infrastructure and community engagement. At the PWD Guest House in Sunderbani, he interacted with local delegations to discuss regional development concerns, while at Lamberi, he chaired a meeting at the BDO Office and inspected the construction of a new 100-bed Mother and Child Healthcare Hospital.

Stressing the importance of healthcare accessibility, he urged officials to fast-track the hospital project alongside the under-construction motorable bridge from Bagnoti to Dabber. Throughout the inspections, the Deputy CM issued a stern warning against dereliction of duty and unauthorized absences, reaffirming the government’s commitment to a responsive administration where officials are held strictly accountable for the efficient delivery of public services.
