Jammu Police Launch Massive Security Sweep in Domana and Kanachak Ahead of Republic Day

JAMMU, JANUARY 22, 2026: In a major proactive move to fortify the security apparatus ahead of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the Jammu Police carried out a series of intensive raids across the Domana and Kanachak sectors today.

Under the direct supervision of SDPO Domana, Mudassir Hussain, specialized police teams executed synchronized operations in SOS Gol Gujral, Kheriyan, and Rajpura.

This high-visibility crackdown followed strict directives from SSP Jammu Joginder Singh and SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, aimed at eliminating any potential threats or security lapses in the sensitive border and suburban peripheries.

The operation involved a massive deployment of personnel, including SHO Domana Varuneshwar Singh, SHO Kanachak Manoj Dhar, and several Border Police Post in-charges. During the sweep, authorities conducted thorough door-to-door searches, verified the identities of residents, and closely monitored suspicious movements throughout the locality.

Police officials have issued a stern warning that any attempt to disrupt the peace will be met with severe action.
