87th CRPF Anniversary Volleyball Tournament Concludes with Grand Finale in Ramban
CHANDERKOTE, RAMBAN | March 10, 2026 — The 87th CRPF Anniversary Volleyball Tournament, a high-spirited sporting event organized under the aegis of the Jammu Sector CRPF, reached its successful conclusion today at the Tactical Headquarters of the 84 Battalion CRPF in Chanderkote.
The final match served as a vibrant display of sportsmanship and community engagement, drawing a large crowd of local youth and sports enthusiasts. The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Chief Guest N. Gayabati Devi, First Lady, alongside N. Ranbir Singh, Commandant of the 84 Bn CRPF, and several high-ranking officers including Vikram Singh and Roop Ram Meena.
In a thrilling championship showdown, HMB Parnote emerged victorious over the Chanderkote Defenders after a hard-fought four-set battle (25-16, 23-25, 25-17, and 26-24).
Addressing the gathering, Commandant N. Ranbir Singh reflected on the glorious 87-year history of the CRPF, noting the significant milestone of March 19, 1950, when Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel presented the Force with its Colors.
He emphasized that the tournament was designed to provide a platform for regional talent while fostering a healthy, disciplined lifestyle among the youth.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies, medals, and sports gear, as well as the felicitation of national-level boxing referee Sandeep Singh and various media representatives, further strengthening the bond between the CRPF and the local populace.
