RAMBAN, March 9, 2026 — As part of the commemorative events leading up to the 87th Anniversary of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 84 Battalion organized a successful blood donation camp at its Tactical Headquarters in Chanderkote, Ramban.

Held under the inspiring theme “Give Blood, Give Hope — Together We Save Lives,” the initiative was conducted in close collaboration with District Hospital Ramban.

The event was formally inaugurated by First Lady N. Gayabati Devi, alongside Commandant N. Ranbir Singh and senior officers of the battalion. More than 25 personnel voluntarily donated blood during the drive, showcasing the force’s deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare beyond its primary role of maintaining internal security.

Commandant Ranbir Singh, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the critical importance of regular blood donation in saving the lives of accident victims, cancer patients, and those undergoing emergency surgeries.

He lauded the medical teams, led by Dr. Parvez Ahmed Katoch from District Hospital Ramban and Dr. Biranmol Singh of the 84 Battalion, for the seamless execution of the camp.

Highlighting the force’s prestigious history—including the presentation of its Colours by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1950—the Commandant assured health officials that the CRPF remains ready to provide emergency blood supplies whenever needed in the future.

Officials from the Ramban Blood Bank expressed their sincere gratitude to the battalion for their proactive support in replenishing vital local blood reserves.
