76 Bn CRPF Organizes Volleyball Tournament in Gangyal Under Civic Action Programme
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 24, 2026 — As part of the Civic Action Programme-2026, the 76 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully hosted a competitive Volleyball tournament today in the Gangyal area of Jammu.
The event saw spirited participation from five local teams, highlighting the CRPF’s ongoing efforts to engage with the community and promote sportsmanship among the youth.
After a series of intense matches, Sai Tangali Volleyball Club emerged as the tournament winner, securing the first position, while the Saheed Bhagat Singh (Sports Club) earned the runner-up title for their commendable performance.
During the concluding ceremony, Vezoto Tinyi, Commandant of the 76 Bn, interacted with the athletes and encouraged them to prioritize their physical health.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and disciplined lifestyle as essential tools for achieving excellence in both sports and their future endeavors.
This initiative is part of a broader mission by the security forces to channelize the energy of the local youth toward productive activities and foster a stronger bond between the personnel and the civilian population.
