76 Bn CRPF Celebrates 87th Raising Day with Blood Donation and Free Health Camps in Jammu
JAMMU, MARCH 10, 2026 — Commemorating the 87th CRPF Day, the 76 Battalion of the CRPF organized a significant blood donation drive today at the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Jammu, in partnership with the Red Cross Society.
The initiative was led by Commandant Vezoto Tinyi, who joined numerous jawans in donating blood to support local medical reserves.
The event was held in the presence of Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Virender Trishal, highlighting the synergy between security forces and healthcare institutions.
Beyond the immediate medical contribution, the camp aimed to raise public awareness regarding the CRPF’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and humanitarian service.
Extending Healthcare to the CommunityIn a parallel effort to bolster community wellness, the 76 Bn also hosted a comprehensive Free Health Camp at its Unit Headquarters in Gangyal, Jammu. Under the supervision of Dr. Monica Paul, Chief Medical Officer (SG), the battalion provided essential medical check-ups and distributed free medicines to underprivileged individuals from the surrounding areas.
These twin initiatives—the blood donation drive and the rural health camp—underscore the 76 Bn CRPF’s dedication to its motto of “Service and Loyalty,” strengthening the bond between the force and the civilian population through tangible social contributions.
