13th Drug Peddler Detained Under PIT NDPS Act by Udhampur Police

Udhampur 23 October :- As part of its ongoing efforts to combat the menace of drug trafficking in the district, Udhampur Police has successfully executed a detention warrant under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act against Sanjay Kumar alias Sanju Bawa S/O Narinder Kumar R/O Hartaryan Tehsil and District Udhampur A/P Kallar, Udhampur.

The detention warrant was executed today in accordance with the order issued by the competent authority and the accused has been detained by the Police team of PS Udhampur.It is pertinent to mention that this is the 13th detention under the PIT NDPS Act in the current year, reflecting the district’s continued commitment to tackling the drug trafficking issue.

Sanjay Kumar has been actively involved in the illegal drug trade and was found to be a significant supplier of narcotic substances in the region. His actions have been endangering public health and contributing to the widespread drug abuse problem, particularly among the youth.
