10.09 grams Heroine like substance Recovered,One Drug Peddler Arrested

Kathua; 04 October :- Continuing its crackdown against drug peddlers, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saksena IPS has arrested one person and recovered 10.09 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession at Malti area of PS Billawar.

Today Police team of P/S Billawar led by SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq under the guidance of *SP Ops Upper Billawar Sh. Aamir Iqbal and SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar established a special naka at Malti area . During checking one unknown person was roaming in suspicious circumstances, on seeing police party the unknown person tried to fled away from the spot. but Police party did hectic efforts and apprehened him, While questioning he disclosed his name as (1) Maskeen Ali S/O Bashir Ahmed R/O Garh Samna Banj Tehsil Majalta Distt.Udhampur . During his personal search 10.09 grams of Heroine (chitta) like substance and one mobile phone has been recovered from his possession.

In this regard a case FIR No. 146/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Billawar . further investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages involved in the supply chain of drugs in the area.
