During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the key components of the New Criminal Laws, including E-Sakshya, SIDs, E-Summon, MedLeapr, Zero FIR, E-FIR, Community Service, Trial in Absentia, FSL Visit and monitoring of cases under 60-day and 90-day investigation timelines. It was emphasized that FSL visits are mandatory in cases involving offences punishable with imprisonment of seven years or more.

SSP Reasi underscored the importance of timely investigation, adherence to procedural timelines and completion of cases within the stipulated period, ensuring transparency, accountability and efficiency in the criminal justice process.

He directed all investigating officers to leverage digital platforms like E-Sakshya for electronic evidence collection and E-Summon for expeditious communication, while maintaining close coordination with Prosecution Officers and FSL units to strengthen investigation quality.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to uphold justice, enhance investigation standards and improve conviction rates through meticulous case handling and diligent application of the new criminal laws.
