𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀; 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱

Budgam, November 1 :- Continuing its drive against drug menace, Budgam Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession in the Humhama area.

Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Post Humhama, led by ASI Bashir Ahmad, established a checkpoint near Salsabeel Educational Institute, Humhama. Two suspects coming from Sheikhpora tried to flee on seeing the police but were apprehended tactfully.

During their personal search, heroin-like substances weighing about 18.4 grams were recovered. The accused were identified as Javid Ahmad Lone, son of Bashir Ahmad Lone, and Sakir Rashid, son of Ab. Rashid Dar, both residents of Humhama.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 307/2025 under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Budgam, and further investigation is in progress.

Budgam Police urge the public to cooperate in the fight against drug abuse by sharing information about such illicit activities.
